E47 - The Gugari Rip (Hole In The Wall)

After crossing the Gulf of Carpentaria, we leave Gove and head to the Wessel Islands to check out the Gugari Rip or "Hole In The Wall". After rounding Cape Wilberforce in some hair raising seas due to some poor planning, we pass through the Gugari Rip on a perfectly timed change of tide. We sail down the Brown Strait on an awesome 4 knot tide assist sailing along at 12 knots, before we pass through the Cadell Strait. We have a quick look at Haul Around Island and after seeing a crocodile lazing on the only accessible beach and noting the swell, decide to move a little further on to Hawkesbury Point, Rolling Bay. #seawind1260 #circumnavigationaustralia #wesselislands
