After checking into Kota Kinabalu, we dive into a few unforgettable adventures — white water rafting through jungle rapids, witnessing incredible fireflies illuminate the riverbanks at night, and soaring high above the coastline while parasailing. It’s the perfect send-off before Emma heads home. We then sail to Dalit Bay, carefully navigating a shallow sandbar in a strong tidal river before anchoring securely. But the drama isn’t over. Another boat fails to negotiate the powerful current and drifts straight into us while we’re at anchor, slamming into our bow and causing damage. We’re forced to carry out temporary repairs to keep No Regrets II strong and watertight. Despite the unexpected collision, we finish on a high note with a wonderful cultural show and rally dinner as part of the Sail Malaysia Rally, celebrating another eventful chapter of the journey.
