DIY Electric Sailboat Motor Conversion - Ep. 10 [ Sailing Ixion ]

Now that we finished the DIY electric boat motor conversion and most of the new wiring, it was time to install our new Tesla lithium batteries. In order to install the new batteries, we needed a box to hold them. So after building the brand new box, we measured and prepared to install, only to discover that it didn't fit. Watch along to see how we reacted and eventually solved the problem. Other than the batteries, only a few small electrical items remain to complete our new electrical system. With our new batteries and new electrical system we will have a substantial amount of power, and be able to go off grid for a decent amount of time. Sailing around the world off grid, it's the dream.
