In this episode, Breaking Her In: Our First Sail of the Season, We rock the swimwear, put up the sails then leave on a 2 day 60 Nautical Mile journey from Halifax to Sambro rounding Chebucto Head reaching 10 to 15 foot ocean swells, becoming sea sick, and putting into a mooring for the night. The next day we retrace our steps with an amazing and beautiful downwind sail in calm waters and a safe return. The diver who paid us a visit was the Sambro Port Authority doing routine checks of all the moorings in the area. In August of 2017 I sold everything and moved aboard Balachandra, a 1986 C&C44 sailboat, then sailed it over 300 nautical miles to Halifax Nova Scotia to spend a cold Canadian winter in the frozen waters of the North Atlantic.
