Our boat life power struggle has led us to a massive lithium battery upgrade!! Lugging around hydraulic cable crimpers is second only to lugging around dozens of 4/0 lugs. Really though, every step of this project has taken just a little longer than we expect. Not because anything broke or got lost, but because everything is just a little bit harder on a boat. Going to a store takes a little more time, a little more effort. Keep in mind we bought her at auction without ever meeting the owner! The owner was sailing along and ran aground - hard. Hard enough that the keel pivoted and pushed the aft end up into the hull. This force cracked the internal grid in several places and broke a portion of the grid free from hull. At some point an inspection was done, insurance was called and decisions were made.
