Autumn Bay of Biscay Prep | Recruiting New Crew Onboard

After three months of sailing from Stockholm, through the Baltic Sea and down the English Channel we have now reached southern France. 🇫🇷 In this episode, we fix our broken engine that left us being towed into the marina in the middle of the night in our last video. But before getting back out on the ocean, we take a little break from boat life and head off on a long road trip to Girona, Spain, to celebrate a big family milestone with Erik’s family. 🚘 Back onboard, we finally leave Lézardrieux and start heading south, making plans to cross the Bay of Biscay. It’s late in the season and autumn has reached France, bringing colder winds and fewer good weather windows. With a small window of opportunity ahead, we decide to go for it, and recruit two new crew members onboard for the upcoming crossing. ⛵️ 📍 Route: Lézardrieux (France) to Camaret-sur-Mer (France) ⛵ Distance sailed: 1677 Nautical Miles 🧑‍✈️ Crew: Erik, Linn & Nora the dachshund If you're new to our channel, welcome! 🩵 We’re Linn and Erik, a Swedish couple in our late 20s who quit our jobs, rented out our apartment, and set off to sail from Stockholm to the Mediterranean together with our sausage dog.
