The gentle southerly breezes which propelled me north-eastward toward Cape Lookout die away as I approach Frying Pan Shoals, off Cape Fear. After laying becalmed for nearly one day, southerlies appear again ahead of a "weak" cold front. What's behind that front is not weak.
