Anchored on the Edge - First Time on the Reef with a Rescue at Sea! (Ep.29) | Sailing ARGO

We finally did it – our first sail out to the reef off the Whitsundays! It was a little nerve-racking heading out into the deep blue with no land in sight, but we had our buddy boat Trim and our good mate Jim leading the way. And what an adventure it turned out to be. From catching monster squid and fish, to helping rescue a boat that lost its anchor line in the dark (scary stuff out there at night!), this trip had it all. We were so grateful for the fish he shared with us in return (thanks Harry) – and even prouder when we headed off to the next reef solo and made it with ease. Anchoring on the reef is something we’ll never forget. Just us, the ocean, that endless turquoise water… and a sky full of stars. One of the most surreal and beautiful moments of our journey so far.
