Sailing a 1972 Alberg 30 from Connecticut to Brunswick, GA in September 2016. We planned a non-stop 850 mile offshore passage but due to an adverse forecast when we approached Cape Hatteras we diverted in to Norfolk, VA and along the ICW to Beaufort, NC then offshore to Brunswick.
