But before the washer and dryer can go into place, we have to install the very first finished floor in our mountain home. This week, I also join our butcher-block countertops, make the nerve-racking sink cut, and clean up an imperfect cut before Desiree and I seal the counters. Then we take on the most complicated floor in the house and turn the upstairs bathroom into the second finished-floor space in the house.
