Although, to be fair, things didnāt exactly get easier when we made it back to the boat. After everything we had been through on the road, returning to Nandji only to discover that she wasnāt to be outdone. installing 2 motors in 2 different vesselsā¦ Fast forward a couple of monthsā¦ over 5,000 miles sailed and a few island stops along the way. We find ourselves on the other side of the Atlantic and an Ocean crossing nearly all but done. We are on a completely different continent and when you stop for a second and actually think about thatā¦ its been quite the run of events. Not that long ago, we were sitting on the side of a dirt road in the middle of the Namibian desert with a broken-down Land Rover, no idea how we were going to get moving again, Sun setting and being stalked by jackalsā¦ And now? Weāre thousands of miles away, Motoring Nandji 2 up a river deep into the Amazon jungleā¦. Same family. Same slightly questionable decision-making.
