Today I sailed home my new to me 1972 Bristol Carvel 22. I purchased for a great deal on eBay, if I told you how much you wouldn’t believe me so don’t even ask . Let’s just stay. It was an awesome deal. So I purchased her without ever looking at the cabin. I saw her from the shoreline, and I fell in love with this vintage sailboat. Now it’s time to start the motor for the very first time and head down the channel in East Greenwich Bay. Then it’s off to Narraganset Bay towards her new slip. SSRS will have one simulator for each of the K9, K12 and K15 SAR vessels at the Hono outside Gothenburg where crew can train on driving the vessels. This video follows us from Cape Coral, FL to Andros Island Bahamas with a quick stop in Marathon FL. It was an uneventful fairly easy and comfortable gulf stream crossing that took a total of about 39 hours. We arrived in a packed harbor filled with 7 buddy boats from Boot Key harbor in Marathon and a week later we were the only boat left.
