We saw so many sharks on this dive that we decided to follow them—and they led us straight to a shark den! Tucked away at 75 feet, it’s an incredible (and slightly eerie) spot teeming with life. Mostly grey reef sharks were cruising around, but a few whitetips were hanging out too. It’s one of those places that gives you chills and a huge grin at the same time—absolutely unforgettable.

Argh! We made it to the last day of Galveston's first annual Pirate Fest. It was full of music, food, vendors, sirens and fire dancers. Last night's pub crawl was a success, but today we re headed to Seawolf Park on the island to the festival grounds. The Siren Circus was a good show and the band of pirates played plenty of pirate shanty music all day while everyone had fun dancing. We got our beer steins from a veteran craftsman, held live parrots and watched the wenches play with fire!
