With the COVID 19 pandemic closing down the boatyard, I took a "small" project home to do while self isolating. This video is my attempt to repair the very damaged companionway hatch cover. I make no apologies for mistakes made in this video. This has been about learning to do small DIY jobs on my boat. I have enjoyed the this project, so far, and look forward to showing you guys the finished result in the next video.

This year is particularly special as the sailing training ship, Gerh Fock, will lead the parade for the first time in many years. You have seen the Windjammers now on San Francisco Bay we have the Master Mariners Benevolent Association Regatta. Every year the Master Mariners Benevolent Association. organizes a regatta where classic sailboats, designed or built before 1937, come out to race on San Francisco Bay. The discipline has similarities to Formula Windsurfing, however a notable difference is that sailors only use one sail. The sail size is 9 metre 2 for the men and 8 metre 2 for the women. These are the Official Highlights from Day 5 at the iQFoil, Youth&Junior European Championships 2024, Light wind slalom raceing for all gold fleets! Tricky conditions ensured lots of pumping, extreme manouvers and well-planned tactical decisions. New Zealand’s hopes of silverware at the iQFOIL European championships rest on Josh Armit. It was almost a very different outcome, however, with the 21-year-old Kiwi’s victory following a disqualification from the only other race of the day for a premature start. The summer project will be the last project before the Vendée Globe for the Imoca, Hublot, A very strong symbolic step for Alan Roura and his team! Alan Roura and Hublot, is heading for the Vendée Globe 2024, the Everest of the seas. Like our Pip Hare Story earlier in this show Alan's boat is broken down and checked. Especially the foils which go back to the makers, Persico Marine in Italy. It's a huge job. But remember he is racing alone around the world with no help.
