Gentle breezes and awesome crew set up for a relaxing time on the water. Such an awesome way to see the sights that Charleston has to offer from the water!

As inscrições para a 48ª edição da Semana Internacional de Ilhabela foram abertas na semana passada para as regatas de 24 a 31 de julho no no Yacht Club de Ilhabela (YCI), em parceria com a Prefeitura de Ilhabela. Depois de um ano de ausência, a principal competição da modalidade na América Latina deve reunir mais de 100 barcos espalhados em seis classes no litoral norte paulista. As inscrições são feitas pelo site www.sivilhabela.com.br para os veleiros nas categorias ORC, RGS, Bico de Proa, Clássicos, C30 e HPE25. O evento também terá regatas virtuais como no ano passado e rígido protocolo de segurança em função da COVID-19. Em 2021, o primeiro a garantir presença foi a equipe do Silvertip, do comandante Walter Adoglio, que fica na Represa do Guarapiranga, em São Paulo (SP). O veleiro é um Skipper 21 e está inscrito na classe RGS. Nas anteriores, o velejador correu com o barcos Squalus. O segundo mais rápido no gatilho nas inscrições foi o Bravo, de Jorge Berdasco. O veleiro é um Skipper 30 (30 pés) e medirá na classe ORC. ''É o campeonato mais importante que participamos com o Bravo, seja pelo número de participantes, como também, pelo nível dos barcos e tripulações. O retorno às regatas é cercado de muita expectativa e de vontade por parte da nossa tripulação''. Nos anos anteriores, o Itajaí Sailing Team foi o mais rápido nas inscrições para a Semana Internacional de Vela de Ilhabela. Apesar de perder 'no click' a hegemonia, os catarinenses garantiram presença nas regatas a bordo do atualizado S40. O barco de carbono está inscrito na classe ORC e chama atenção nas raias pelas cores laranja e azul.
