North Pacific history changed 2 years ago. Year 1597 treasure laden Golden Hind sought the North West Passage. The Hind not Cook's ship Discovery in 1792 was the first in these north waters. The crew members of the Hind kept diaries revealing the re-supply stopovers. Payment to natives was gold/silver coin, excessively to earn acceptance for future British settlement plans. As well the ship was treasure overburdened needing to "stash" before attempting Arctic waters. Places of anchorage have been researched and mapped. This vid, a silver/gold metal detecting practice. In outfitting our boat one of the most important things we wanted on the boat was a good first aid kit. We just wanted more than bandaids and ointments. What if we broke an arm, got a really bad cut, passed out, or worse and we are miles/hours from help. So we started the process of how to build what we wanted and researched what we felt like we needed. In the process we came across Gear Bags. They had anything and everything that we could possibly want or need for our skill level plus a bag for all of it. So we ordered our bag with there filling of supplies. In this video we show you what we got, where we got it, and what it looks like all put together. In December 2018, Stephen Foot set off across the Atlantic on his Centurion 45, Water Music bound for Antigua. There he was joined by his wife Grace and they then sailed with family and friends as crew through the Panama Canal and across the Pacific Ocean to New Zealand. The route takes in the San Blas, Galapagos, Marquesas, Tuamotos, Society Islands, Cook Islands, Niue, Tonga and Fiji. This talk follows their 15,000 Nm path and their Highs and Lows. Champagne Sailing, South Sea Paradises, Medical evacuation, flooding of the boat and flying coral are all encountered (mercifully not in equal helpings).
