Beneteau Oceanis sailboats stand for predictable mass-market characteristics. You can find them for charter in almost any European port. This Beneteau Ozeanis 41 from 2014 (as opposed to the newer Beneteau Oceanis 41.1 starting in 2015) is a safe choice when you want to spend some time on the water. The compromises made are usually for usability. For example the Beneteau arch keeps the cockpit clear of lines and protected from the elements. We saved our French stop for the Mediterranean, leaving Malaga 20 September with all sails set for the French Riviera. Fifteen years ago, Götheborg visited Nice for the first time, on the way back from Asia. The turquoise water, the sun and the dolphins all contributed to making this leg spectacular. Talisman continues the northward trek, leaving Grenada and Carriacou for St Vincent and the Grenadines. The first island in the group is Union Island, which is where transient boats clear in. We find that the town of Clifton is barely functioning under years of decay, and only spend one night before moving on to the Tobago Cays. By contrast, the Tobago Cays are nothing short of incredible.
