Her LOA is 19.3m and she has a beam of 4.6m with a draft of 2.98m She weighs 33t and she can cruise at 7 kts with the engine and 8-10 kts on sail depending on the wind. She is fairly comfortable with 15 to 20 kts of wind. Freshwater capacity to last over 2 weeks and a fuel range of 13 days steaming. About the Boat ''SY Red Current'' is a Southerly 31 with the construction of GRP and rigged as a sloop with Aluminium Mast. Her LOA is 31 feet and she has a beam of 10 feet with a draft of 7 feet. She also has an electric swing keel which makes her draft very shallow and easy to enter in shallow water. Wapta Falls is a waterfall of the Kicking Horse River located in Yoho National Park in British Columbia, Canada. It is the largest waterfall of the Kicking Horse River, at about 18 metres high and 107 metres wide. Its average flow can reach 96 cubic metres per second. The name stems from a Nakoda word meaning "river". A short walk of approx 30mins. Kids friendly trail.

In today’s episode, we will explore the destination of Marion, Massachusetts. Marion is located in Sippican Harbor which is off of Buzzards Bay. If you haven’t sailed Buzzards Bay, put it on your bucket list. Marion and the Beverly Yacht Club are located a short sail off of Buzzards Bay in Sippican Harbor. If you are transiting through the Cape Cod Canal, it’s a very convenient stopover. If you’re a sailor, you may have heard of Marion, as it is the start of the Marion to Bermuda race. The Marion to Bermuda Cruising Yacht Race is held in odd-numbered years, from Marion, Massachusetts to the island of Bermuda, a distance of 645 nautical miles One of the highlights of this trip was getting a mooring right next to Tabor Boy, a ninety-two foot, gaff-rigged, two-masted schooner. Tropical atmosphere... Departure: 07.45 Arrival: 14.00 Distance: 27 miles Weather: Bright sunshine, 19 degrees Wind: W 16-24 knots Details: Seals seen Since we have a creep-by-creep departure from the harbour, we want to sail away with as little wind as possible. It all works out according to plan. And we course, unfortunately again, headwind and thus motor to Fur. The fjord is really beautiful. The wind feels strong and we particularly notice this when it turns out that the coffee is literally blowing out of our cups. Haha. At Løgstør, we turn for the bridge and see some seals playing. Just too far for really nice photos unfortunately. Not much later, we turn so that ‘the jib’ can be raised, and although we don't even unfurl it completely, we do 7.5 knots of speed at halfwind. The waves are a bit mean over starboard though (the downwind feeling doesn't feel comfortable), but oh well. Then we course into the beautiful bay and moor her as close as we can in the lee under the shore. It looks like a little beach paradise. Nice lunch on the Aloha deck and after some ‘banking’, the dinghy goes in the water and we head to shore to walk on the beach, look for shells, drink a beer and....the drone to fly. An hour later, we sail back, eat pasta (at least....once it was clear where the sauce had gone :-)) and enjoy the setting sun before diving into the berths around 23:00. #creep #zigzag #sailing ailing

At the port of Les Sables d'Olonne the catamaran was taken out of the water by a crane and driven over the road for 300 meters, to the wharf of Yacht Care Services. For 2 weeks they worked on the underwater ship of the catamaran: cleaning (spray the algae off), filling up scratches from the times we hit the bottom or rocks while sailing, repairing cracks, and applying new primer and 2 layers of anti-fouling. So this big maintenance has to be done every once in a while and for us it was the first time to arrange this ourselves. It was exciting to see your boat being lifted out of the water and interesting to follow the process of the maintenance of our boat at the wharf while staying on board.

Neil grew up sailing in the UK and quickly became accustomed to the range of weather conditions that it serves up. By the time he was a few months old, he completed his first English Channel crossing. He fell into maritime training as a teenager at his local sailing club, before emigrating to Australia and launching his own Sydney based training company 'Above and Beyond Boating'. Unlike some of the monotonous "death by powerpoint" courses that are run, Neil decided to pioneer a different approach to training through real life scenario, video based training, that people could complete remotely. When COVID came along, this went from a great idea to the "only show in town" as the traditional classroom trainers, shelved most of their courses for 2 years. Neil shares some great lessons from his decades clocking up tens of thousands of miles at sea and provides some great insights into the simple safety things we take forgranted. 5 strings 5 weeks 5 minutes On the north shores of Wadsworth sits the Wigwam. A place dear to my heart. As babies this was where my brother and I were introduced to the good people of Gilmour and Gunter 55 years ago. West by north west of the Wigwam there are three mystical ravines that come together named by Joe Simon as the Khyber Pass. This was my elders hunting grounds for years before building a new cottage on Cashel lake. My Mom (AKA Jan) filmed the footage in the video in an about 1967, We thought it would somewhat of a spiritual journey retracing her footsteps all these years later... and it was. Before now the last time I stood at the Wigwam I was with my Brother Jess. my brother and I were teenagers. We walked from Gilmour through the woods to the Khyber Pass and then to the Wigwam. We just sat looking out across the lake. A memory for a life time, so it will be. This song has come from nowhere to find me.
