Thanks to all the clients who braved the heat and light air on Saturday to come sailing. The wind did not want to cooperate, but even in 4-6 knots, the Gemini moves well - just check the video. We eventually did get some southerly breezes that picked things up in the afternoon. We hope all that attended have a better sense of everything the Legacy 35 and Freestyle 37 have to offer ~ but there is no wind control option ;-)

Anschließend gingen wir zur Pier und nutzten ein orange beflaggtes Boot um weiter zu fahren zum berühmtesten Tempel Bangkok´s. Der frisch renovierte Tempel Wat Arun war unser nächstes Ziel. Trotz der enormen Hitze waren wir bereit uns aus Rücksicht auf die Einheimischen entsprechend zu verhüllen. Schon vom Ufer aus strahlte uns die weiße Oberfläche dieses imposanten buddhistischen Tempels an. Begleite uns auf unserer Reise um den Globus 🌍. On savait que cette transatlantique en double serait rapide, les équipages ne s'économisent pas, les bateaux atteignent des records de vitesse, et ce, dans des conditions de mer toujours très forte. Positionné à la 8ème place de la flotte des IMOCA, Initiatives-Coeur a sur sa route une double barrière : un système dépressionnaire puis le fameux pot au noir. En attendant de savoir comment le binôme va négocier ce nouvel obstacle, Tanguy a testé pour nous une nouvelle fonction de son bateau : le lave-vaisselle. Il n'oublie pas au passage de saluer son ami, François Gabart, actuellement en mer avec son trimaran MACIF (tentative de record du tour du monde en solitaire). Blake and Toby go to Kawau Island in search for wallabies, they also find a peacock (peafowl) and show you the ruins from the copper mine, smelter and underground tunnels. The find a wallaby and follow it through the forest on the island. It keeps hopping away each time they get close. Wallabies are native to Australia and are part of the Kangaroo family. Sir Governor Grey introduced them to Kawau Island. Blake and Toby also give you some insight on the 4.5 hour and 31 mile journey from Pineharbour in Beachlands to Kawau Island in the Hauraki Gulf, Auckland. The wind was 25-30 knots, so a quick 6-7 knot boat speed the whole way! We are two brothers, aged 4 and 7, who love going on sailing family adventures - exploring the outdoors and finding super cool wild animals, bugs and marine life. So along with our parents, we’re sailing the world, exploring islands, and looking for interesting wildlife. We start our adventure sailing New Zealand but dream of sailing around the Mediterranean some day. We love our planet and want to look after our environment, so through our travels we hope other kids will feel inspired to care for our planet and wildlife too.
