We live aboard our 66' steel triple masted sailboat year round in Alaska, and after a winter that felt like it would never let up, we finally had a sunny day at anchor! We had porpoises moving through, whales out in the distance, and the water went completely calm. After months of wind, snow, and wet decks, Scott was finally able to get up in the rigging and start replacing lines… something that’s been needing to happen for a long time. With the conditions as perfect as they were, I decide it’s a good day to face my fear of getting in the water for more than just a minute and going for a worthwhile swim. This experience definitely got in my head more than I expected, but I went for it anyway. It was time. This video has a lot of real-life banter back and forth through all of it… Scott’s commentary probably says more than we do.😂 And then at the end of the day, while paddle boarding back from an epic beach combing session, we are met with the most beautiful sunset we have seen yet in Southeast, Alaska This is just a day in our life. Wir entschieden uns an diesem Abend Bangkok für eine Nacht zu verlängern und erst einmal in Thailand bleiben zu wollen. Unser eigentliches Ziel Myanmar stornierten wir kurzfristig. Wohin geht´s als nächstes? Da unser Thailand Visum bis zum 19.10.2017 gültig war, entschieden wir uns in Thailand zu bleiben und den Norden des Landes zu erkunden. Um an ein kurzfristiges Ticket zu kommen, fuhren wir mit dem Airport Rail Link zum Flughafen ohne vorab gebucht zu haben. Um 9:15Uhr saßen wir im Airport Office von Bangkok Airways und hoben um 10Uhr bereits gen Chiang Mai ab. Begleite uns auf unserer Reise um den Globus 🌍. Sturm oder Flaute-Absegeln 2018 Wir beenden die Segelsaison 2018 mit guten Freunden... leider nicht auf der Irmi, aufgrund von mangelnder Kojenanzahl und dem unzuverlässigen Motor, sind wir mit dem Seeteufel unterwegs. 2. Tag gemütliches Segeln von Schleimünde nach Sonderborg🇩🇰 Kim schrieb währenddessen den DonnerstagsBlog. Etwas schwachwindig und bewölkt war es an dem Tag. Die Stimmung war die ganze Zeit gut! Zum Abendessen gab es standesgemäß Hotdogs (in vegan 🌱❤️) Nach dem gemeinsamen Abwasch, machten wir uns auf in die Stadt und tranken in einem gemütlichen Pub ein Bier. Zurück an Bord saßen wir noch eine Weile zusammen im Cockpit, genossen die laue Temperatur, erzählten und lachten viel.

On day three of my blue-water adventure, we left Oshima Island and set sail for Hota, which is on the Eastern side of Tokyo Bay and Western coast of the Chiba Peninsula. After about a 7-hour cruise, we stopped and practiced anchoring and swam in the deep teal-blue water. I had a bit of a fright with the engine -- it wouldn't start!
