DIY Rowing Machine with positive and negative resistance. The rowing machine slide & seat is from BODYCRAFT: https://www.bodycraft.com/product/prow/ The blocks/pulleys for pulling cord are from Harken. The rest of hardware and steel springs are from The Home Depot. I have about $400 into this setup. Great cardio/strength exercise. In this video I show normal row, high row, low curl, high curl and single arm row. I do each motion 20 times before changing to the next position. I usually row 20 to 30 minutes after doing a 30 minute bike ride to warm up.

Before moving anything onboard a new boat, we must document and inspect the bilges, we must know where the through hulls are located, the sonar and depth sounders, pumps, water maker, plumbing, and bits and pieces. We also identify dry and potential wet bilge storage. We measure the various cabinets so we know what size containers to buy, explore the electrical plant cabinets, and peek into various inspection hatches. We poke around the cubbies and argue who has rights to what storage areas. Taking these measurements allow us to better plan various storage options. My rule is that if we have no where to store it, it stays onshore. With spinnakers blowing up all around them, Torbjörn Törnqvist steered his Artemis Racing through the carnage of the final run of the final race to claim the RC44 Cascais Cup by single point from Igor Lah's Team CEEREF. Both Chris Bake's Team Aqua, leader going around the final mark, and Team CEEREF in third, suffered kite problems at the final top mark rounding, helping the Swedish team to prevail. But to win by just one point (even the top six were separated by just six points) after 11 races, was particularly impressive turn-around given that Artemis Racing had finished the first day of fleet racing here in the Portuguese sailing mecca in last place. After two light to moderate days, conditions turned more brutal for today's final three races. The long Atlantic swell Cascais is famous for wasn't so much in evidence today, but a particularly vicious sea state had been kicked up by the northnorthwesterly breeze that built steadily until it was gusting to 25 knots. The RC44 Cascais Cup is the fourth event of the 2016 Championship Tour, which pitts the world's top businessmen and the best sailors in the industry compete in high performance one-design 44-foot carbon racing yachts. This week we tackle a problem that has been facing us for a little while now. We have had in the stateroom ceiling just on the outside of the mast opening in the deck. I had thought that when we had the deck glassed it would solve the issue and it certainly slowed it down. But it was still leaking a little. In this first part of a 2 part video series, we will show how we determined where the problem was, discuss our options and settle on a path forward. From there it was starting to do the work. In this video (part 1) we prepare the surface for a glass repair, epoxy fill some gaps in the mast plate base and take all the steps to get ready to lay the glass (Part 2 is where we lay the glass down and see our results) Also in this video, we have to tow our dinghy to a local boat ramp to pull her out and get ready for some maintenance work. We ran into a really odd situation with a good Samaritan. I know this guy was just trying to help and he didn't do any real damage, but it was frustrating. The irony of this is he is the one that got all annoyned. See what he did and listen to the crazy things he was saying.
