A equipe de Santos (SP) estava completa para os treinos, que contou com os últimos reparos na vela e ajustes. Na classe ORC, o Soto 40 enfrentará outros quatro veleiros de mesmo tamanho nas regatas: o Phytoervas 4Z, King, Argos e Vesper. A equipe fez várias regatas treinos no primeiro semestre visando a semana em Ilhabela (SP), bem como a participações em campeonatos como Paulista de Oceano, Copa ICS e Copa Mitsubishi. Neste domingo (24) a competição se inicia com o desfile dos barcos às 11h e a largada para a Regata de Toque Toque, às 12h. A regata Alcatrazes por Boreste Marinha do Brasil, que deveria ser neste domingo, não será realizada devido à previsão de ventos fraco. Em maio, Inaê Soto Amstel Ultra, Phytoervas 4Z e King fizeram uma regata-treino em Santos (SP), como o mesmo ambiente de uma competição, com bóias, juízes e barcos de apoio.
