Welcome back aboard Moor R & R! Episode 13. This week we’re off exploring Shaw Island and Thomas Island, and what an adventure it turned out to be! We took the tender out to Maya Cave, an incredible natural formation — definitely one of those wow moments. The best time to visit is around mid to high tide, when you can glide right in and really take in its beauty. Next, we explored the creek system near Saba Bay and walked across to the other side of Shaw Island — such a peaceful and scenic spot. As the winds picked up, we moved around to Burning Point for a bit of shelter before heading over to Thomas Island. Thomas absolutely blew us away — from hiking the rock on Little Tom Island to walking across the main island and looking out over those crystal-clear blue waters, every moment was breathtaking. And to top it all off, we stopped at the beautiful Naked Lady Beach on our way home — the perfect ending to another amazing week in the Whitsundays. 🌴💙 Come along for the highs and lows of life at sea – the joy of community, the challenge of sailing, and all the fun we get up too !!! Es war ganz schön was los in L'Aber Wrac'h. Während des Starkwindes hat sich ein Schiff vom Anker gelöst und trieb auf die anderen Boote zu. Nachts wurde ein Boot mit Motorschaden an eine Boje geschleppt. Auch die Segel- und Surfschule hat uns viel geboten. Aber es gab auch ruhige Seiten mit tollen Wanderwegen und Landschaften. In this video we take a look at the three different boats which I find myself involved in at the present moment, in Hawaii. Are three boats too many?! With the 1928 schooner Tradition awaiting her haul out, and new mast steps, I find myself dabbling in the nautical games once again. It is less of a living and more of a life, that is for sure. We have committed to keeping the Navy Dive Work Boat (50'DWB) for now, and putting her to work as a towing and recovery vessel. The latest acquisition is aNewport Ketch from 1957, named Quest. She was left for dead by her last owner, and now we are deciding to do the refit ourselves, or simply sell her off as-is, to the highest bider.
