Greetings from the sea! So happy you stopped in! Here is some footage we captured of Sombrero Reef! The waters were calm and the reef was near empty due to Covid. It was a wonderful adventure for sure and this is where tiger shark fell in love with Snorkeling. Music by artlist and Tiktok

Musique Empire Seasons - Dan Henig

I had never heard of this book before finding it here in the Mariner's Library but 'The Cruises of the Joan' seems to have attached a lot of very positive comments from contemporary literary critics & sailors alike when it was released. W.E.Sinclair has what commentators at the time refer to as  'a humble style in his approach to recording his voyages'. However, as his mileage increases with journeys throughout Scotland and round the British Isles, it becomes increasingly apparent that his delicately chosen prose is actually perfectly suited to allow even a reader 100 years hence to enter the story, share in the adventure and vicariously live through what promises to be some otherwise unbelievable adventures off the coasts of Iceland, Greenland and Newfoundland later on in the book. If you recognize the value in this free content, please consider going over to https://www.patreon.com/themariner to support this channel with a $5 monthly contribution. Episodes of the Mariner's library are published five days a week, Tuesday through Saturday.

The first 1,000 people to use this link will get a 1 month free trial of Skillshare: https://skl.sh/drakeparagon02221 ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Full Recipe in the Description Below ⬇️⬇️⬇️ A warm soup for a cold evening that is simple, delicious, and only uses one pot! We're running around trying to finish so many projects and, at the end of the day, both Drake and I just want to eat something warm and cozy. Enter this bean soup. It's a little spicy and a lot hearty which means it's perfect after a day working outside. Plus, since it uses just one pot, cleaning up afterwards is a breeze. Hope you enjoy this latest recipe and, if you end up cooking this, please send us a picture! You can post on Instagram and tag us @DrakeParagon or put it on our DrakeParagon Facebook page. We'd love to see your final result! Spanish Bean Soup 2 chicken breasts or 4-5 chicken thighs, cut into bite sized pieces 1 finger length piece of chorizo cut into small pieces 1 handful of potatoes, chopped into small pieces 1 large onion, roughly chopped 1 bell pepper, cut into med-small pieces 1 carrot, cut into small pieces 2 cans of kidney beans 4 cloves of garlic, roughly chopped 3 chicken bouillon cubes 1 tsp smoked paprika 1 tsp cumin 1/2 - 1 tsp chilli flakes salt and pepper to taste 2 TBSP olive oil basil or parsley for a garnish Heat a large pot over a med-high heat with olive oil. Once hot, add the onions and carrots along with a dash of salt. Cook for about 5 minutes. Add the chicken and chorizo, and pepper and cook until chicken is about 3/4 done. Lower the heat to medium and add the bell pepper and garlic. Cook until garlic is fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Add the paprika, cumin, and chilli flakes to the pot and cook for about 1 minute. Add the beans, potatoes, and the chicken bouillon dissolved in 6 cups of water. (For a less watery soup, add 4 or 5 cups of water total.) Bring the soup to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat and simmer the soup for 15-20 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked. Check the soup and add salt and pepper to taste. Ladle into bowls and garnish with fresh chopped basil or parsley. Enjoy! _________________________________ Help support our channel by making purchases through our DrakeParagon affiliate links: - Fogstar LiFePO4 batteries: https://www.fogstar-drift.co.uk/?ref=DrakeParagon - Bodega electric coolers: https://www.bodegacooler.com/?click_id=DrakeParagon - BLUETTI LiFePO4 power stations EU: https://bluettieu.pxf.io/jrP9Aa - BLUETTI LiFePO4 power stations US: https://bluettius.sjv.io/jrPv4Z Join our Patreon community for our latest news, sneak peeks of current footage, outtakes and behind the scenes footage, and commercial free videos! https://www.patreon.com/DrakeParagon Paypal: Any amount helps us with our video production expenses and is greatly appreciated! https://PayPal.me/DrakeParagon Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/drakeParagon Instagram: @DrakeParagon https://www.instagram.com/drakeparagon _________________________________ See the whole North Atlantic Adventure series with the links below! Everyone tells us we can't afford not to come to the Bahamas. It has the clearest waters at the perfect temperature. Strings of fabulous islands and perfect trade wind sailing in protected waters. However, there's a way to come to the Bahamas and that's well provisioned with a fully functional boat. Having just spent the last 6 weeks in Cuba with very little opportunity to resupply and with more things breaking on the boat than in the previous 8 years put together, it wasn't the best preparation! So we're feeling the full force of the Bahamas hugely inflated prices and battling to find a way to get the spares we need to get Fair Isle back in tip-top condition. It's all part of cruising life! You can check out Heidi and Franny's site here ... https://www.youtube.com/@HeidiandFranny ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PLEASE DO SUBSCRIBE - IT COSTS YOU NOTHING AND HELPS US OUT WITH THE YOUTUBE ALGORITHM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PATREON: We couldn't make these videos without the support of you, our patrons. A rescue at sea, a surprise creature in our toilet and a tight bridge entry! This week aboard Rúna - our liveaboard catamaran - has been anything but ordinary! With a friend joining us on our journey along the Spanish coast, we faced one of our most unusual navigations yet — entering the Mar Menor in La Manga. We also coordinated our first-ever rescue at sea, saving a stranded sailor who had lost control of his boat and couldn't get back to shore! And of course, what’s a week on a brand-new yacht without more surprise boat issues? From ongoing teething problems to a mysterious creature in our toilet?! Come along for an action-packed week as we sail further along the Spanish coast on our catamaran. It's definitely been our most interesting week yet!
