Nicht nur segelmäßig sind die Dinge anders gekommen als geplant - so ist es ja immer - auch seminarmäßig, natürlich. Aber alles mit einem guten bis sehr guten Ende. We move onto our sailboat! ...Then immediately get [alpha] covid which lands us in 10 days of immediate & mandatory quarantine stuck inside our boat. At the time, contact tracing was in full swing and we could've been criminally liable for leaving our boat, so we were quite trapped. How it went down: when we moved out of our apartment and onto the boat, Zaq was feeling a little drained. We didn't think too much of it until after moving when he started to feel worse. So he booked a test and they scheduled him for one the next day - which is the first day of our video (also Lisa's first day of symptoms). We weren't really prepared to quarantine. We had some frozen and dry/canned food from the move but hadn't gotten fresh groceries yet. Good thing we didn't run out of propane, because who likes to eat dry rice and oatmeal!? and you can't get delivery (or your mail) when you can't get off your boat. Lisa was trapped with no wifi and a cell phone plan that didn't support her full-time virtual classes while Zaq missed a week of work. But we laid low and carried out our quarantine, and were very happy to step out into a fresh, rainy-grey spring morning once it was all over. After an early start we made good time on the road to Kilrush. With the sun sunning we ticked off a ling list of jobs to get the boat ready for the start of the journey. Fuel and water topped up, sails on the boat, new wind instruments up the top of the mast and we are ready to roll at first light in the morning.

We had a very nice experience during FLIBS 2022. Sofi Yacht Team inspected more than 100 boats during The Show. Over 1000 exhibiting brands and with more than 100.000 Boat Show attendess, it was a succesfull show also for Sofi Yacht in aspect of our client's expectation. What we did during The Show? We set up some visits for the boats we select together with our clients both for charter and sale. Visiting a yacht for charter, some of the most important things are that the boat has the same performance comparing the photos, the crew is well equipped in aspect of service and the other dynamics of charter boats. The boats for sale, we mostly made our decision if the boats we selected were the right boats or not. We explored new yachts / brands, boat sales reps, manufacturers and other marine professionals.
