Take a stunning 600nm+ ocean passage from Hamilton Island south, down Queensland's East Coast through the sparkling Whitsunday Islands of the Great Barrier Reef to Southport on the Gold Coast. We'll overnight at one of the islands or a coastal marina and then assess the weather conditions to decide whether we sail down the eastern or western side of the world's largest sand island; Fraser Island', along with Moreton Island and the Stradbroke Islands. More info here: https://www.oceansailingpodcast.com/hamilton-island-to-southport-19

In yet another flawless display by the world’s top catamaran sailing team, Alinghi today won the GC32 Oman Cup and the 2019 GC32 Racing Tour. This Ernesto Bertarelli’s Swiss team adds to their GC32 World Championship title and victory in their own domestic D35 catamaran circuit. Coming into the 2019 GC32 Racing Tour’s final event, Alinghi was tied on points with the Adam Minoprio-skippered Oman Air. This made for a simple battle: Whichever team won here in Oman would claim the 2019 GC32 Racing Tour. Ultimately Alinghi never missed a beat, leading from the outset, although surprisingly her main competition here was Erik Maris’ Zoulou.
#beamaverick with Quentin Stewart who is super excited about his next Rolex Sydney Hobart with his awesome crew. Check out the interview he did with Suellen from Live Sail Die.
The Meri Crew sail on Frolic to the Exumas in January 2020. We leave from Florida and make a few stops in places we haven't been before, Great Harbor in the Berry Islands and Morgan's Bluff on the north end of Andros Island. Then we stop in at Nassau to take care of some repairs. Next we sail to the Exumas! We visit Waderick Wells, one of our favorite places from 2019. We also meet up with several boats of cruising friends we met in 2019; Rum Truffle we meet at Big Major's Spot and Escapade and Whisper we meet in Elizabeth Harbor. Some snorkeling, some fishing, some sailing - we are very happy to be back in the Exumas!

Finally back on the water with the entire Bow Caddy Team for the first of two races the CYCA is holding in the shortened lead-up to RSHYR. Thanks Jake Price, Wendi Lanham and Stephen Price for great footage of the race and Stuart Don for skippering our camera boat. Not quite the weather that was forecast and after a slow start the action heated up for the fleet heading north with an upwind return to Sydney in strong breeze. Thank you CYCA for the commission.
We love to have talented people onboard -- who doesn't?! Ciaran Whyte is a talented, up and coming musician who sailed with us in Greece two years ago. Next time, we're going to record him more professionally and make him a righteous music video. Anyone else interested?
Part two of making mandos blaster. This 3d print is JUNK. I absolutely hate it. Its been nothing but problems for me so far. I don't think id even use this for cosplay. I really wanted this thing to be better. And as you'll see in this video it seems ok, but let me assure you disaster awaits!! The Mandalorian has become our favorite show, am I right? If your building one of these blasters for the first time, and have as little experience building 3d prints as I do maybe you can understand my frustration.
