We are Easy Day Adventures, a family of four taking one adventure at a time. In this video series we are pointing North to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to go swimming up in the Arctic Ocean. Why? Because its there. Plus, it will make a great adventure for our growing boys who are learning how to dream BIG. Why not come along for the ride? Sometimes we live on our sailboat, other time we explore Terra Firma with our OVRLND rig. Either way, its always an adventure! In this video we get some fresh tires in Grand Prairie, Alberta before heading up the Alaska Highway into the Northern Canadian Rockies. Along the way we find an abandoned campground where we setup for the night. We didn’t spend too long because the bugs drove us further North to Muncho Lake. We really enjoyed the campground at Muncho Lake. The water wasn’t too cold for a refreshing cold bath and there are so many amazing trails nearby. We chose to jump on the Stone Sheep’s Trail that heads up into the mountains near the Sentinel Range. This was a great hike to burn off some of the boy’s energy and after we relaxed just a bit further North in the Laird River Hot Springs. It was only $10 CAD for the whole family to spend the afternoon at the hot springs. If you find yourself passing through the Northern Canadian Rockies, this is a must do! We were able to pack so much into that one day that we decided to push a little further up the ALCAN before dinner. We discovered some tucked away camping along the Laird River just West of Watson Lake. After some great rest listening to the water flow past all night, we pointed West to the Alaska border with British Columbia. Thanks for watching!

We kunnen alvast een keer oefenen met de first solo van zijn crew mate op dat moment. Voor ons eigen CPL vliegen we met een Cessna 172 RG in dit deel over Sedona, Payson en over de Grand Canyon.

This was our first trip to Bali, by plane, not sailboat. When a place is as hyped as Bali as the ultimate "tourist destination", we are always prepared to be a little disappointed, but there really is something magnetic and facinating about the place: a mystique and an aura that is distinctly different. The new airport is designed to reflect it's Hindu heritage with distinct architecture. Even in areas like Kuta with designer shopping, or Legian Beach with the young "white" surfers and beer-guzzling crowd, it's possible to find an oasis in the middle of all the noise and traffic, like Adus Beach Inn. It's in the very heart of Legian beach area surrounded by tall buildings and sourvenier and money exchange shops, but the Hindu Balinese owners have built a cosy accomodation with tropical gardens, pool and fountains, and its own family Temple on site. Here you feel peace and hear water bubbling and see calming and beautiful gardens and sculpture. On the streets modern malls intermix with grandiose sculptures of mythic Balinese Heroes. In the evening you can find in the Nusa Dua area, Pirate's Bay, a theme restaurant with tree houses and shipwrecks as dining venues. Delicious Drunken Chicken and Beef Rendang! The Bali Yacht Club adds another dimension to the area just south of the airport with berths and docking for visiting yachts, and a nautical restaurant from where you can admire your own or, more likely, someone else's luxury yacht. Five hours after they arrived back in Sydney from Brazil the triumphant Australian Olympic Sailing Team arrived at their Middle Harbour Yacht Club Base to be greeted by their sponsors, family and friends.
