Die Jugend des NRV nutzte die Herbstferien für ein Trainingslager in Boltenhagen. Auf dem international geschätzen Ostseervier richtete der NRV schon Laser Weltmeisterschaften und Drachen Europameisterschaften aus. Am Trainingslager nahmen 41 Jugendliche in den Klassen Opti, 420er und Laser teil. Neben dem täglichen Wassertraining genossen alle auch das umfangreiche Freizeitangebot der Weißen Wiek.
