Fountaine Pajot - A little background: Fountaine Pajot is a French shipyard that has been building boats since 1976, so coming up on about 50 years now. Everything is built in La Rochelle, France, which is one of the biggest boatbuilding hubs in the world. They actually started out building racing dinghies, and then were one of the early companies to really push the cruising catamaran market back in the 80s. Today, they have launched over 4,000 boats worldwide, so it is a very proven brand with a strong global presence. And now this is their brand new 41, replacing the Isla 40 and Astrea 42 Intro: This is the brand new Fountaine Pajot 41. It’s the next evolution of their entry-level sailing catamaran, but it really doesn’t feel “entry-level” at all. They’ve taken what worked on the Astrea 42 and made it more efficient, easier to sail, and more comfortable to live on. Transom / Aft Platforms: • Standard Davits, or optional swim platform. First 40 ft FP to have factory swim platform, Isla 40 did not..... super easy water access, whether you’re swimming, diving, or getting on a dinghy.
