My main goal in going to traid fairs like boot in Duesseldorf is to find new innovative solution to old problems. This Sirius 40DS was a very welcome find in this category! Made for bluewater cruising it is choke full of details making it most suited for long passages and live on board. Being a deckssalon it can can keep you warm and dry in any weather. Several separate living spaces are well suited for people living in close quarters for long stretches of time. A don't get me started on the integrated workbench! We had the opportunity for a walkthrough on board of the brandnew Southerly 480, which is a slightly improved version of the famous SY "Distant Shores III", one of my favourite YouTube channels. Hanse is know for high quality sporty boats and these two are definitely among them. Treated myself to a visit of the Interboot in Friedrichshafen in late 2018. So this are model year 2019 boats I'm bitching about. Everything said here is just my opinion. The complaints voiced are the textbook definition of first world problems. Just a nudge for the manufacturers. The last couple of steps one could take to propel a boats interior from very good to perfect. Or some minor things for potential buyers to maybe take into account.
