Dragonfly trimarans are small, fun speed machines. They offer less (storage) space under deck than a monohull of comparable size, but a lot more real estate on deck (counting the nets). What you get in return is SPEED. Lots of it. Up to 21 knots and 1,3x wind speed, if we believe their claims. With as little as 35 cm (14") of draft this boats can sail anywhere. And then the smaller ones are even trailable. Sometimes you want to charter with a smaller crew or just own a nice cozy sailboat for your family. This is where the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 319 comes in. Florence is an Oyster Heritage 37 yacht, built in the UK in 1985. She is 37ft (11.28m) long 12ft (3.66m) wide and she draws 5ft6 (1.6m). We are a British couple who set off from England in 2016 to fulfill our dream of sailing around the world on our 37ft sail boat, Florence.
