Welcome Aboard S/V EVOLIAS! We bought this boat over a year ago, and moved onto her full time back in November. This is our little floating home that we want to travel the world on and she is perfect! She is a 2014 Fontaine Pajot Lipari Evolution Maestro Version and we couldn't be happier to have found her. The maestro version means that she is a 3 cabin version with 2 heads (instead of the 4 cabin version). The starboard hull or right pontoon is a the full owners cabin (our room + bathroom). A full kitchen, including a microwave... yes a microwave even out on the ocean. But this means we use the extra power from our 3 solar panels if we do ever use it. We even have a watermarker on board, which turns the saltwater into fresh water. YUP! We can live off the grid for as long as we want. But aside from all the extras that were were so lucky to inherit with the purchase of the boat, we have installed some simple but very useful equipment to ensure we are as comfortable as living on land our at sea. Cruising sailboats under 40 feet are quite difficult design exercises. Width and height become limited, but all the necessities are still there. This Beneteau Oceanis 35.1 does a good job of it. The double doors turn an extension of your salon into a private cabin in the front. I also love how they designed the cabin in gray + wood + window desing of it. All in all, a very fine sailboat for 4 people. For six it would be quite limIted, as then there is basically no storage left. This Nautitech 40 Open catamaran does a few things differently. First of all it places the steering cockpits far aft and to the sides, so it doesn't look like a 3 storied building (Lagoon =] ). I also liked the large outside sitting area instead of a small cramped one (older Lagoons, again...). All in all the this 40 foot Open from Nautitech does look, well... open, uncluttered.
