Então começamos uma pesquisa para encontrar um distorcedor fosse mais forte que a corrente e a manilha, para não termos um ponto falho. Foi aí que encontramos o S2 da Mantus, perfeito para o nosso sistema. A força de trabalho dele é de 2 toneladas, ou seja: muito mais forte que a nossa corrente. O S2 fica entre a corrente e a âncora, permitindo que ela gire livremente e evitando torções que podem enfraquecer o conjunto. Ele vem desmontado e você mesmo monta na hora da instalação, seguindo os passos indicados. [EN] After spending a long time anchored in Culatra, we realized that a swivel was necessary. It’s not something you always need, but in places where we stay for longer periods, it makes a big difference. So we started researching to find a swivel that was stronger than our chain and shackle, so we wouldn’t have a weak point in the system. That’s when we found the Mantus S2, perfect for our setup. Its working load is 2 tons, which means it’s much stronger than our chain. The S2 sits between the chain and the anchor, allowing the anchor to rotate freely and preventing twists that can weaken the system. It comes disassembled, and you put it together yourself during installation by following the provided steps. Over a year after we first arrived in Trinidad and our live aboard yacht was hauled out, we finally took to the sea again this week! Sadly it was not in our Leopard 45 (it's still undergoing warranty), but instead in a converted Privilege catamaran owned by a Trinidadian family we'd met around the shipyard.
