Então começamos uma pesquisa para encontrar um distorcedor fosse mais forte que a corrente e a manilha, para não termos um ponto falho. Foi aí que encontramos o S2 da Mantus, perfeito para o nosso sistema. A força de trabalho dele é de 2 toneladas, ou seja: muito mais forte que a nossa corrente. O S2 fica entre a corrente e a âncora, permitindo que ela gire livremente e evitando torções que podem enfraquecer o conjunto. Ele vem desmontado e você mesmo monta na hora da instalação, seguindo os passos indicados. It’s not something you always need, but in places where we stay for longer periods, it makes a big difference. So we started researching to find a swivel that was stronger than our chain and shackle, so we wouldn’t have a weak point in the system. That’s when we found the Mantus S2, perfect for our setup. Its working load is 2 tons, which means it’s much stronger than our chain. The S2 sits between the chain and the anchor, allowing the anchor to rotate freely and preventing twists that can weaken the system. It comes disassembled, and you put it together yourself during installation by following the provided steps. Cool Timelapse the morning to mid-afternoon of July 5th, 2021 in SW Florida. Elsa is just south of Havana Cuba as I recorded this. This is actually a fairly small hurricane only about 150-160 miles wide so the outer edge of the storm is still a bit over 120 miles from us. It has been cool watching the clouds roll through, in, and build through the day.
