Ci siamo fermati qui dopo un weekend di navigazione piena. Abbiamo fatto tre giorni con una pausa notturna a Vis per recuperare qualche ora di sonno. Questa mattina facciamo come al solito il punto del lunedì. Pianificazione della settimana, organizzazione delle chiamate, controllo del meteo per pianificare gli spostamenti. I nostri due lavori procedono. Stare in barca richiede energie, richiede un’attenzione in più che non può mai essere tralasciata. Lo scotto di essere superficiali sulla programmazione è un rischio che preferisco non correre. Ma va bene, fa parte del gioco😊 Facciamo un pranzo veloce e riprendiamo dove eravamo rimasti ieri sera. Oggi Mia sembra volersi svagare cercando nuovi luoghi in cui curiosare. Del resto è un gatto😊 e finché è curiosa significa che sta bene! Ceniamo subito dopo lavoro e ci accorgiamo che sono le 22. CHAMPAGNE START FOR RORC TRANSATLANTIC RACE 🍾☀️ Sunday 9th January, Lanzarote: A flotilla of spectator boats and a huge crowd in Marina Lanzarote witnessed the start of the 2023 RORC Transatlantic Race. Supported by Calero Marinas, the International Maxi Association and the Yacht Club de France, the RORC Transatlantic Race started In glorious conditions, the fleet got away to a clean downwind start, a mile from Marina Lanzarote. The RORC fleet were in full view of spectators along the seafront of Arrecife, Lanzarote’s capital. As the boats rounded the turning mark outside Puerto Calero, well-wishes shouted encouragement from a pack of ribs and an armada of cruising boats. After passing under the volcanic mountains of the Los Ajaches National Park, the fleet raced through the narrow Strait of Bocaina which divides Lanzarote from Fuerteventura. The RORC fleet must leave Tenerife to port, before heading into the wide expanse of the Atlantic Ocean. The next mark of the course is 3,000 miles away across the Atlantic. E chi se lo aspettava! D’altra parte la cifra tonda è arrivata a febbraio, parecchi mesi fa 😂 Si conferma l’idea che quando non nutri aspettative di alcun tipo, non puoi che gioire di ciò che si presenta. ♥️ Questi giorni qui a Cadice sono fitti di lavoro, anche se avviene lontano dalle telecamere. A breve torneremo in barca e continueremo la risalita verso casa, da soli stavolta. Perciò dobbiamo fare il carico di riposo e di lavoro, per i giorni in cui il mare non ci permetterà di stare al pc né di dormire. Una costante ricerca di equilibrio.
