Practicing the use of radar provide you with an edge when you really need it. We sailed from Sandoy to Hestur (the faroe islands) and the fog prevented us to see the islands. When we were arriving at Hestur, the radar and navionics help us identify the ferry which was heading to Hestur as well, so, we made a U turn to give the ferry priority to head in first. Then, the tide was running fast, so Skipper Chris did the ferry gliding to let us have a smooth and safe entrance.
This journey sails through one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth — where species, ecosystems, and landscapes change island by island. From Bitung to Komodo, this route crosses Wallace’s Line, a biogeographic boundary that helped shape our understanding of evolution. Exploring it alongside experts brings this natural history to life — both above and below the surface. 👉 Join our expedition and explore this extraordinary route with us. 👉 Find the full journey details via the link in the description #Biodiversity #WallacesLine #IndonesiaNature #ExpeditionTravel #SailingForGood #SeaTrek #ConservationTravel #WildlifeJourney #MarineBiodiversity #responsibletravel
