The Netherlands has long been regarded as one of the most prestigious yacht building nations in the world, with names like Feadship, Oceanco, Heesen and Damen setting the standard for quality, innovation and pedigree. In this video, I take a look at a much newer name on the Dutch scene: Leapher Yachts. Based in Tolkamer on the banks of the Rhine, this boutique shipyard has transformed a historic former cruise ship building facility into a focused production hub for serious explorer yachts. What makes that especially remarkable is the scale of its first project. Leapher has just launched Horizon II, a 60.9 metre explorer yacht built for long-range adventure, polar capability and extended autonomy. For a young shipyard, that is an incredibly bold statement of intent. We’ll look at the vision behind the yard, the man leading it, the strategy of focusing on the 50 to 82 metre explorer segment, and why Horizon II is such an important launch. With a steel hull built to Ice Class and Polar Code standards, around 9,000 nautical miles of range at 10 knots, and up to 40 days of autonomy, this is a yacht designed to go far beyond the usual cruising grounds. I also talk about the team behind the project, including Van Oossanen Naval Architects, O7 Designers and Cor D. Rover Design, and why Leapher’s positioning in the market is so interesting at a time when entering Dutch yacht building is no small challenge. If you enjoy learning about the yacht industry, yacht builders and the latest new launches, this is a story well worth knowing. And next Saturday, we have something very different coming up on the channel: a full walkthrough of a beautiful Italian yacht called Serenity, filmed in Turkey with fantastic weather and a very helpful crew. I’ve been looking forward to sharing that one, so make sure you’re subscribed and don’t miss it. Let me know in the comments what you think of Leapher Yachts and whether this new Dutch shipyard has caught your attention too. At 43 metres, she has the presence, volume and craftsmanship to impress immediately, but what really sets her apart is the depth of thought behind the way she was built and used. From the huge sundeck and elegant dining spaces to the owner’s private terrace, beautifully detailed guest accommodation and an engine room that says a great deal about the standards on board, this is a yacht that reveals more and more the closer you look. There is real beauty in the materials and finish, but also a welcome sense of practicality throughout. What stood out to me most is that SUNRISE feels like a yacht shaped by experience. The owner was heavily involved during the build, the captain also had meaningful input, and that combination shows in countless details across the vessel. It is this blend of craftsmanship, usability and care that makes her feel so complete — and why I believe she deserves to be much better known than she is. If you enjoy detailed walkthroughs of yachts that are genuinely for sale, this video is very much in the spirit of what this channel is all about. Big changes are happening in the world of superyachts, and few stories show that better than DRAAK. In this vlog, we discuss the remarkable rebuild of the former Equanimity at OceanCo in the Netherlands, where she has been transformed from a highly luxurious superyacht into a serious support vessel. It is a fascinating shift in purpose, and one that says a lot about how yachting is evolving. From her former main salon becoming a crew mess, to the beach club being turned into a dive centre, this is not just a refit… it is a complete reinvention. We also talk about the growing popularity of support yachts, why owners are increasingly drawn to them, and whether rebuilding an existing yacht can really make more sense than starting again from scratch. It opens up a much bigger conversation about utility, adventure, sustainability, and the future of large yacht ownership. Along the way, we also touch on several other major yachting news stories, including the striking explorer yacht PROJECT 03, the newly revealed AL REEM, the second Amels 80 known as NETTUNO 2, and a viewer question about which classification society is considered the strictest. If you enjoy yacht news, industry insight, and a bit of behind-the-scenes perspective from inside the brokerage world, this one is for you. For decades the brand has produced some of the most iconic boats in the world — from the legendary wooden runabouts beloved by film stars in the 1960s to today’s striking flybridge yachts. In this video we take a full walkthrough tour of NOI, a beautifully presented Riva 90 Argo currently for sale. Delivered in 2020, this GRP planing yacht combines sleek Italian styling from Officina Italiana Design with genuine performance. Twin MTU 16V2000 engines push her to an impressive 30-knot top speed, while upgrades such as an additional gyro stabiliser, upgraded air-conditioning system and enhanced generator setup make her particularly comfortable for extended cruising. One of the most interesting aspects of this yacht is that although she measures 28.5 metres overall, she is classed as under 24 metres by load line length. That technical detail makes a big difference in practice. It allows the yacht to operate with fewer regulatory restrictions and opens access to anchorages that can be off limits to larger yachts — making her particularly attractive for an owner-operator. Step inside and the Italian design philosophy becomes immediately clear. Walnut panelling, Calacatta marble and stainless-steel detailing create a look that is understated but unmistakably elegant — what the Italians might describe as “la semplicità è l’ultima sofisticazione”… simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. Accommodation is arranged for eight guests in four cabins, including a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck and an exceptionally spacious VIP cabin below that rivals the master for size. Two additional guest cabins complete the layout, while separate crew quarters forward accommodate up to four crew. Outdoor spaces are equally impressive. The cockpit offers shaded dining with clever movable seating, while the expansive flybridge becomes the social heart of the yacht with a full bar, dining area, sun loungers and an additional helm station for open-air cruising. With a large tender garage, generous bow lounge and the performance expected from a Riva, NOI represents a compelling opportunity for anyone looking for a stylish, high-performance yacht in the highly sought-after 90-foot range. Contact Scott at: scott.roberton@marinemax.com +1727-638-7890 After filming a full walkthrough of the Ocean Alexander 35 Puro, I realised there was much more to discuss about the Ocean Alexander brand than we could possibly fit into one yacht tour. So in this video I sat down with Scott Robertson from MarineMax, one of the most knowledgeable specialists in the Ocean Alexander range, to talk about the bigger picture. Ocean Alexander has built a very strong reputation in the world of large production yachts, and the range now includes three distinct lines: the Revolution Series, the Legend Series, and the newer Puro Series designed by Giorgio Cassetta. But what really makes this conversation fascinating is the way MarineMax approaches yacht sales. Unlike many dealers, MarineMax actually purchases these yachts into inventory, bringing them into the United States so that buyers don’t have to wait years for a new build. This allows clients to buy a yacht immediately rather than waiting 18–24 months for construction. It also means MarineMax can offer something that many brokers cannot: trade-ins. Owners can move up to a larger yacht without first having to sell their existing vessel on the open market. During our conversation Scott also explains: • The differences between the Revolution, Legend and Puro yacht ranges • Why MarineMax holds large yachts in stock for immediate delivery • How buyers can trade in their existing yachts when upgrading • How MarineMax works with designers like Evan Marshall and Giorgio Cassetta • The process of supervising construction in Taiwan • How warranty support and spare parts are handled in the United States • The owner rendezvous events that bring Ocean Alexander owners together Perhaps most importantly, Scott shares how MarineMax supports owners long after the sale, helping them find crew, organise their first trips, and ensure that owning a yacht remains an enjoyable experience rather than a stressful one. If you're interested in buying an Ocean Alexander yacht, or simply want to understand how large yacht dealerships operate behind the scenes, this conversation offers a fascinating look inside the business. The most innovative room on a superyacht isn’t the master suite… it isn’t the sundeck… and it isn’t even the bridge. It’s the beach club. In this vlog I dive into one of the biggest shifts in modern yacht design: the rise of the beach club — that sea-level leisure space built into the stern that creates a direct connection between the yacht and the water. Over the last 15 years, beach clubs have gone from a clever idea to an absolute must-have, and today builders are working harder than ever to create genuine “waterfront real estate” on board. I explain what actually qualifies as a beach club (and what doesn’t), how designers create them by opening up the transom and folding out sections of hull, and why the very best examples feel like a private beach… while floating offshore. We also look at the design evolution: from simple fold-down platforms, to drop-down balconies that transform the footprint, to open-style beach clubs, floodable garages where tenders can drive straight in, and even beach clubs lit by glass-bottomed pools above. Along the way I highlight some standout examples and concepts that have shaped the trend — and why the beach club has become the social heart of the yacht: the place where guests start the day with a swim, where the toys launch, where sunset drinks happen, and where the yacht feels most connected to its surroundings. #YachtsForSale #Superyacht #YachtDesign #BeachClub #Feadship #Sanlorenzo #Benetti #WiderYachts Follow us also on YouTube @Yachtsforsaleblog @YachtsforCharter @yachtbuilders And our partner's channel: @MarineMaxOnline If you are interested in becoming a yacht broker: yachtbrokermasterclass.com And if you would like to keep updated on events at the Yachts For Sale YouTube team you can join the free INSIDE INFO newsletter at www.yachtsforsaleblog.com

For more details about ELYSIUM I: https://www.northropandjohnson.com/yachts-for-sale/elysium-i-110-riva Contact Ed Dickinson: ed.dickinson@NorthropandJohnson.com +33 6 48 90 59 13 ELYSIUM I Yacht for Sale Length.- 110' (33.53m) Builder - Riva Build - 2019 Guests - 11 Cabins - 5 Crew - 5 Asking Price - €9,990,000 What makes ELYSIUM I stand out Riva design has its own language — high-gloss woods, polished stainless, crisp lines — and ELYSIUM I leans into it beautifully. But this yacht goes a step further than “what you expect from a Riva”. A highly customised interior with details that feel properly considered A single-piece marble floor (cut to get it onboard, then reassembled so the grain matches perfectly) Intricate wood panelling that elevates the cabinetry into something genuinely special And one of my favourite themes on this yacht: look up — the ceilings and lighting design are a masterclass The 110 vs the 102 A logical question is: what do you actually gain stepping up from the Riva 102 to the 110? One of the most noticeable answers is right at the front: the foredeck on ELYSIUM I is a serious space — and it’s not just sunpads and seating. There’s also a huge storage section that opens up to swallow fenders, lines, and the things that usually clutter a deck… and on this yacht, the crew have even fitted two large freezers for longer trips. Flybridge details I love Up top, there’s a detail that feels tiny… until you notice it everywhere: the cross stitching on the upholstery. It gives the whole yacht that premium “Bentley” feel. And then there’s the bar setup — one of the coolest practical features on board: a covered module that rises up to become a proper bar, complete with work surface, sink, and prep space. (A great reminder that a small barbecue sounds nice in theory… but usable worktop often wins in real life.) The salon: unapologetically Riva So many modern yachts chase full-height glass, and I get it — light, views, “at one with the ocean.” But I love that Riva are unapologetic in bucking that trend here, because the payoff is obvious: magnificent cabinetry, better storage, and a feeling that you’re in a yacht that’s properly high-end — not just another floating glass box. And yes… even the ceiling breaks the “rules”. Dark wood overhead is supposed to make spaces feel smaller — but on this yacht it just looks spectacular, and the headroom is genuinely impressive for this size. A few buyer notes that matter The photography on board was commissioned during COVID, when Florence was empty — and it adds real atmosphere. Just remember: don’t assume items like artwork and photography are included. Always ask for a clear inventory list before you make an offer. ELYSIUM I offers five staterooms for up to 11 guests, thanks to a Pullman — and that extra berth can really matter. She’s also commercially coded, which is a big deal if charter capability is important to you. Crew & operational highlights You’ll also see the raised pilothouse helm position, a compact high-end galley, well-laid-out crew quarters, a tender garage, and the popular setup with a 7m Ribeye chase tender. And one final practical point: always keep an eye on 5-year and 10-year survey timing as a buyer. The good news here is the 5-year work was completed in 2024, and the stabiliser fins were serviced at the same time — and yes, these stabilisers work at anchor too. What’s all the fuss about yachts being “under 24 metres”… and why do shipyards work so hard to squeeze as much yacht as possible into that number? This video was inspired by a viewer comment from Patrick Abas, who pointed out something many people only discover after they start researching ownership: the jump in costs, complexity, and regulation once you cross the 24m threshold can be dramatic. Here’s the key point: it’s not based on the yacht’s advertised length, and it’s not simply LOA (Length Overall). The “under 24 metres” conversation usually comes down to Load Line Length (often written as LLL) — a technical measurement defined by the International Convention of Load Lines. In plain English, it’s much closer to the length of the hull that’s actually working in the water, rather than swim platforms, bow overhangs, or styling tricks. Follow us also on YouTube @Yachtsforsaleblog @YachtsforCharter @yachtbuilders And our partner's channel: @MarineMaxOnline If you are interested in becoming a yacht broker: yachtbrokermasterclass.com And if you would like to keep updated on events at the Yachts For Sale YouTube team you can join the free INSIDE INFO newsletter at www.yachtsforsaleblog.com That’s why you’ll sometimes see yachts that look absolutely enormous still qualifying as “under 24m” in the paperwork. In this video I explain: LOA vs Load Line Length (and why they’re not the same thing) Why different class societies can interpret the measurement differently How builders deliberately design around the 24m mark What changes for owners once you go above 24m (surveys, compliance, crew, admin) Why “under 24m” often means simpler ownership, year after year And I use real examples from our recent videos, including: Sunseeker 90 Ocean Ferretti 940 Azimut Chillin Sanlorenzo 96A (ICE OF LONDON) These aren’t loopholes — they’re deliberate design choices built around a regulatory threshold that can make yacht ownership feel either manageable… or like you’ve just stepped into a much heavier world. If you enjoy these easy-to-understand explainers and want more topics like this, subscribe and drop your questions in the comments — I’ll gladly turn the best ones into future videos.

In this walkthrough we start outside — with a foredeck that converts from dining to a huge sunpad — then head up to the flybridge with Tribù furniture and a louvered hardtop (a smart, practical solution for shade and ventilation). Inside, the main salon feels notably broad, helped again by that asymmetrical design, and there’s a drop-down sea-view balcony on port that really changes the atmosphere at anchor. The full-beam owner’s suite sits forward on the main deck, complete with a proper dressing area and a standout detail: an opening window option for real fresh air. Below deck you’ll find four more guest cabins — two doubles and two twins — giving a true 10-guest layout. We also look at the working areas: the galley, pilothouse, and a stabilisation setup that’s serious for a yacht of this size — fins plus gyro AND fin stabilizers! Finally, there’s the tender garage with a Williams 395, launched via the swim platform and crane. A brand-new yacht. A dramatic launch… and then she sinks. It’s the kind of story that makes people ask a fair question: “Should I build a yacht in Turkey?” In this vlog, I give you my honest answer — and it might surprise you. Because Turkey is packed with talented engineers, craftsmen and serious yacht builders… but the quality gap between yards can be enormous, and that’s where buyers get caught out. In this video, I break down what you must check before signing anything, including: Certification / Classification (and why it’s more than just paperwork) Track record (delivered yachts, resale market, and what “doesn’t add up”) Price reality (inflation, the Italy comparison, and why “too cheap” is a warning) How to protect yourself: visit the yard, walk the sheds, meet the team, understand who’s doing the work and how quality is controlled Why an unbiased specialist (broker/advisor) can save you a fortune in stress and mistakes I also share a list of Turkish shipyards I personally feel comfortable recommending (and a note: if I don’t mention a yard, it doesn’t automatically mean I don’t rate them). She’s “nearly new”, with genuine long-range ability: 4,000 nautical miles at 8 knots — the kind of range that turns distant coastlines into realistic plans. Before we start the tour, let’s chat numbers: • 2025 Numarine 32XP | 107’ / 32.63m • Steel hull / aluminium build (per the script) • 299 GT | Beam 8.0m | Draft 2.71m • 13.8 knots top | 11 knots cruise • Low engine hours (approx. 335 in the script) Why this EXPLORER YACHT is different RAY isn’t just “an Explorer Yacht by name” — she’s configured with a real theme: extra capability, extra safety, extra access. • The only 32XP in the fleet with MCA LY3 , meaning yacht-specific safety and operational requirements were considered from the outset. • The only 32XP in the storyboard equipped with MAN 800hp Tier III engines with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) — more eco-minded and better positioned for environmentally controlled cruising regions. • Designed as a true explorer with exterior lines by Can Yalman. Walkthrough highlights (what you’ll see in this tour) SUNDECK (the star of the show) A huge open-air living deck with a proper bar setup (grill, ice-maker, multiple fridges), big dining, modular lounge seating, optional shade — and a dumbwaiter linking service from the galley. UPPER DECK AFT: toys + terrace in minutes A genuinely useful open-air “garage” zone: 7m RIB + two Jet Skis handled by a ~3-ton crane, then the deck becomes an open terrace when launched. UPPER DECK LOUNGE + WHEELHOUSE A secondary interior lounge with a custom bar (beer dispenser + seating), plus a proper explorer-style wheelhouse and an additional Pullman berth for watchkeeping. MAIN DECK SOCIAL FLOW Aft cockpit lounge with a service station, then inside: contemporary saloon, formal dining forward, and a “real galley” built for longer passages (including the dumbwaiter up to the sundeck). GYM ON THE MAIN DECK Air-conditioned, hull-side glass, sea views while you train — the kind of feature you normally don’t expect in this size bracket. OWNER + GUEST ACCOMMODATION Main-deck owner’s suite plus four guest cabins on the lower deck (convertible twins/doubles in the script), with practical storage and charter-friendly touches. BEACH CLUB Shaded lounge close to the water, with fridge + ice-maker (you’re not going to run out of ice on this boat), shower, swim platform and optional shade. Happy 2026! In this episode, Katia and David sit down for a yacht-world catch-up - from our favourite shoots of the year, to standout yacht designs, to a viewer question we hear more and more: Are modern sailing yachts basically fully automated… or do crew still have to properly “sail” them? We also dive into December’s big talking point: Lürssen’s new 117m “Boardwalk” and the mystery around her styling, plus the design that caught our eye this year — Feadship “Pi” and that transom staircase detail. In this video - Favourite video shoots of the year (including Azimut “H”) - Favourite yacht designs (Feadship “Pi”) - Yacht news: Lürssen 117m “Boardwalk” + “Boardwalk” name history - Viewer Q&A: how automated are sailing yachts in real life? - What’s coming up next on the channel Comment below: On a modern sailing yacht, what do you wish was fully automated… and what should stay manual? Tune in to the Live Stream with Fabrizio next Friday 9th January at 15:00 CET, where you can ask him directly any questions you have about the S-Force 55. Click the link below to join: Friday 9th January 15:00 CET: https://youtube.com/live/a_bE01TFrlk For more information about the S-Force 55m: https://www.northropandjohnson.com/yachts-for-sale/s-force-55-hull-4-181-admiral Contact: Gabriele Modica Ragusa Gabriele.Modica@NorthropandJohnson.com +39 338 770 73 34 S-FORCE 55 HULL #4 Yacht for Sale Length - 181' 1" (55.2m) Builder - Admiral Build - 2027 Guests - 14 Cabins - 6 Crew - 11 Asking Price Upon Request The Admiral S-Force 55m is one of the most exciting new-build opportunities on the market today — a 55-metre aluminium superyacht under construction at The Italian Sea Group, with a delivery window of approximately 20 months and extraordinary flexibility for an owner to customise the layout and interior design. In a previous video, Katia showed you the spectacular Italian Sea Group shipyard — arguably the most visually impressive yacht-building facility in the world. In this episode, David returns to spotlight a specific yacht currently in build: Hull #4 of the S-Force 55 series, for sale with Northrop & Johnson. This series already includes yachts such as Geko, Silver Star and Raja 2, two of which have hugely successful charter records — and when you see the layout, it is easy to understand why. This video uses both on-site footage and detailed renderings to show you exactly what the completed yacht will look like, bringing the hull and superstructure to life. LAYOUT & FEATURES (what we explore in the video) The S-Force 55 offers a genuinely impressive use of space: • A vast beach-club-style swim platform with multiple configuration options • A large aft deck with sliding circular doors offering open-air or enclosed flexibility • A circular main-deck entrance that sets the tone for the yacht’s contemporary style • A full-beam owner’s suite forward on the main deck with the possibility of a private balcony • Four spacious lower-deck guest cabins PLUS a huge full-beam VIP • Crew accommodation for 10 across five cabins, with a proper crew mess • A bridge deck designed for charter success: skylounge, aft dining, Captain’s cabin • A touch-and-go helipad forward — doubling as an extraordinary entertainment deck • A sun deck with a stunning plunge pool and panoramic views Performance comes from twin Caterpillar 1900 hp engines, giving a top speed of around 18 knots and a range of approx. 3,500 nm at 10 knots. THE BIGGEST ADVANTAGE: FLEXIBILITY One of the most compelling reasons to buy a yacht at this stage is the ability to shape the final product. As David discusses on board with Sales Manager Fabrizio Massa, Admiral have deliberately engineered an extraordinary degree of flexibility into the S-Force platform: • Multiple aft-deck configurations (open, enclosed, or hybrid) • Custom choices for the beach club: dining, diving, luxury glazing, storage • Several options for interior layouts (5, 6, or even 7 guest cabins if desired) • Full freedom in interior design and finishes, supported by TISG’s world-class design teams • The possibility of custom features such as balconies, cinema rooms, gyms and more Admiral’s portfolio speaks for itself — from Platinum (78m), Kensho (75m) and Life Saga (65m) to the Lamborghini-branded Tecnomar. The Italian Sea Group is a global design powerhouse, and their flexibility reflects the level of sophisticated clients they serve. AN OPPORTUNITY RARELY SEEN ON THE MARKET • A proven platform with multiple successful sisterships • A build already well underway, massively reducing delivery time • A customisable final layout and interior • A pedigree shipyard with a rapidly growing global reputation Whether you are a client, a Captain, a broker or simply fascinated by large-yacht construction, this is a project worth serious attention. Broker contact and full specifications are listed above. COMING NEXT One week after this video is published, we will host a live Q&A with Fabrizio Massa. You’ll be able to ask questions directly about the build, the layout, engineering, delivery schedule and customisation options. #AdmiralYachts #SForce55 #ItalianSeaGroup #SuperyachtBuild #NewBuildYacht #SuperyachtForSale #55mYacht #YachtsForSale #NorthropAndJohnson #SuperyachtConstruction #AluminiumYacht #CustomYacht Follow us also on YouTube @Yachtsforsaleblog @YachtsforCharter @yachtbuilders And our partner's channel: @MarineMaxOnline If you are interested in becoming a yacht broker: yachtbrokermasterclass.com And if you would like to keep updated on events at the Yachts For Sale YouTube team you can join the free INSIDE INFO newsletter at www.yachtsforsaleblog.com
