Originally known as the Genesis 153, this 46.6-metre yacht was delivered in 2002 after a group of American yachtsmen set out to create something very particular. At just under 500 GT, they managed to include features that are still unusual on a yacht of this size today, most notably an entire deck dedicated to the owner. The owner's deck includes a private lounge, office area and an impressive master stateroom with panoramic views, his-and-hers bathrooms and closets, as well as its own private terrace. Above it is another unusual feature: an observation deck with an enclosed lounge surrounded by huge windows, alongside a substantial exterior area with seating, sunbathing space and a large hot tub. The current owners have invested considerably in KAJAK, upgrading the bridge equipment and bringing the interior into 2026 with lighter colours, new fabrics, carpets and furniture, while retaining much of the character of the original design. There are plenty of other interesting details as we make our way through the yacht: a dedicated dining room, an unusually large galley designed so that guests can interact with the chef, four-fin stabilisation, an AI-ready Swift smart vessel system and an elevator connecting the decks. KAJAK was also designed with genuine wheelchair accessibility in mind, including wide access points and a lift at the swim platform. Powered by twin Caterpillar 3512 engines producing 2,250 horsepower each, KAJAK has a cruising speed of 14 knots and a top speed of 20 knots. At around 12 knots, David notes a range of more than 4,000 nautical miles.
