Possibly the most memorable video we have ever produced was on board UNBRIDLEDz the Caotain at the time was GUI Garcia, and together with his wife Cathryn they were passionate scuba divers. They actually had their wedding ceremony underwater! 🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈 Learning to dive with Gui and Cathryn was a privilege, and they quickly gave me the confidence to swim with sharks at Danger Point in the Bahamas. To get my mind prepared, I thought about walking through a field with dogs in it. It’s true that one may bite you, but it’s unlikely and as long as you leave them alone you’ll be Ok. 😁 The current Captain of Unbridled, Liam Devlin is an equally impressive character. Passionate about his work and with a keen awareness of the power of social media I have enjoyed interviewing both Liam and the owner for a podcast series. Yarik and I have just reviewed the final draft of a video that we both feel immensely proud of. We have been documenting the construction the 62 meter super sailing yacht “SIMENA” for the last few months, and the latest video showcases the launch of the vessel and explains what will happen next. The camera work and editing is superb, it really does justice to the beauty and size of the yacht. I cant wait to publish it on the @yachtbuilders YouTube channel next Sunday.

The team travelled to Turkey a couple of weeks ago to film Mengi Yay’s 42 meter steel hulled sailing yacht “LEGATO”. I usually associate motor yachts with this shipyard, but they made a great job of this sailing vessel as Katia Damborsky found out when she spoke to the Fraser Yachts brokers representing her: David LeGrande and Alain Auvere.

This week I visited Antalya, where the ARES shipyard held the launching ceremony for their magnificent 62 meter cruising ketch "SIMENA". I was there to film the third in a series of 5 videos that will follow the project from construction to completion. You can follow it at the @yachtbuilders YoUtube channel.

Last night I bumped into somebody who regularly watches the “Yachts For Sale” YouTube channel. “What was that beautiful yacht you filmed recently?” he asked, “the one with the blue hull?” “You must be talking about MERELEY I” I replied…and in fact that was exactly the yacht he was referring to! HOT LAB did a fantastic job of both the exterior and the interior design of this yacht, and AES did an equally superb job of putting the vessel together. I have no doubt that my friend Deniz Kaymaz together with ​Northrop & Johnson will find a buyer for her soon 😁

Built by the people who Brought us the 53m Trimarans "Galaxy" and "Galaxy of Happiness", this promises to be an award winning design that will be hugely popular especially in the Bahamas! During our last visit to Miami we filmed the amazing Sanlorenzo 112SX LA LUNA. This is the perfect South Florida yacht in many respects. The styling is so distinctive, the deck space is extraordinary, and the styling distinctively Sanlorenzo! We shot this yacht for @FraseryachtsSuperyachtSales

Last week Slava and I visited Riga in Latvia to film Latitude Yachts amazing catamaran “LANIAKEA”. These guys really know what they are doing, having also successfully completed two very cool but very unusual 53m trimarans called “Galaxy” and “Galaxy of Happiness”…maybe you’ve seen them! It was a great opportunity to outline the process for constructing such an ambitious project!

I visit Turkey very regularly, and as far as yacht building is concerned I’ve just about seen it all; from spectacular, modern state of the art facilities to yachts being built in a field surrounded by cows 🐮🐮🐮 Before you fly over to check out a yacht that you are considering buying, it’s advisable to do a little research. My team and I recently visited the ARES Shipyard and were extremely impressed both by the facilities and by their heritage in building rugged military craft. This is a shipyard well worth visiting!

Last week I visited the ARES Shipyard in Turkey. If you have ever seen the documentary video I produced there last year, you will know that they have built a solid reputation for constructing military craft and are now offering an eye catching 62m super sailing yacht called SIMENA. My friends and colleagues Deniz Kaymaz and Sean McCarter from Northrop & Johnson represent the yacht for sale. Can’t wait to go back in the summer and film the sea trials!!!
