First up are the Azimut Grande 44M, Baglietto DOM 133 and Benetti Oasis 42M. They are remarkably close on paper, but once you look at how each builder has used the available space, three very different yachts begin to emerge. The Azimut is the longest at 43.6 metres, the Baglietto the shortest at 40.9 metres, and the Benetti sits between them at 42.5 metres. Yet there is very little difference in beam and only around 20 GT separates all three. David works through each yacht deck by deck, starting with three very different approaches to the stern. The Azimut combines a beach club, Sea View Terrace and see-through pool. Baglietto creates a three-level beach club with an infinity pool whose floor can be raised, while Benetti's famous Oasis Deck creates around 100 square metres of space extending from the bathing platform towards the main saloon. Above deck, the differences continue. Azimut moves the wheelhouse up a level, freeing almost the entire upper deck for owners and guests. Baglietto takes a more traditional approach with a proper skylounge and generous exterior spaces, while Benetti combines its skylounge with the wheelhouse, captain's cabin and forward seating area. David also compares construction, engines, performance, fuel capacity and range, including why quoted range figures only really make sense when you know the speed at which they were calculated. Finally, there is price: approximately €26.2 million for the Azimut, €27 million for the Baglietto and €28 million for the Benetti, although specification and customisation can change those figures considerably.
