What is a Mandingo? Fierce African warriors and in Cape Verde also great sailors. We set off with a crew of Cape Verdeans. It was great to have them aboard as they know the local waters. That's probably why we caught a big Mahi Mahi. Peixe was my go to guy. He led me and Galopin to a safe anchorage off the south coast of Santa Antao.
