We Survived the MONA PASSAGE (47hrs Nonstop Sail to Puerto Rico) E376

After months of life in Luperón, Dominican Republic, it was finally time to move on… and take on one of the Caribbean’s most notorious crossings — the Mona Passage. We set sail for Puerto Rico on a 47-hour, 245 nautical mile passage, pushing through a double overnight sail with little sleep and sea sickness, and light wind. Landfall didn’t exactly go as planned… Our first stop in Rincón turned into a rolly anchorage, forcing us to keep moving. We pushed further south to Boquerón — and finally found what we needed: ✔️ Calm waters ✔️ A real night of sleep ✔️ A stunning beach and vibrant town From there, things got a lot more fun — paddleboarding in strong winds and even wing foiling.
