Vendée Globe Tuesday Evening Update: Sam Goodchild's Birthday Blast, Louis Burton Riding High
There can't be many ways better to celebrate your birthday than to lead the Vendée Globe fleet down the Atlantic Ocean while travelling at close to 24 knots, and that's how Sam Goodchild has spent his day. Ahead though is the Intertropical Convergence Zone, otherwise known as the Doldrums, which could be the hangover tomorrow after the party. We also received some fantastic drone footage from Louis Burton on Bureau Vallée, which was great to see after the worries he had with his deck cracking. #vg2024 #imoca #vendeeglobe #sailing
