We didn’t come here to sightsee. After weeks tied to the dock in Wrangell, we left to reset, earn, and put our sailboat back to work by heading out to Port Protection, Alaska. Port Protection is known to many because of the reality TV series filmed here, but for us it’s a remote community where self-reliance still matters and opportunity still exists if you’re willing to move your life to meet it. Our sailboat isn’t just how we travel - it’s how we find work, reach people, and make this life possible year-round.
