Underwater Pumpkin Carving in Lake Havasu City

Can you imagine the child like delight over bobbing jack-o'-lanterns surrounded by nibbling fish during an Underwater Pumpkin Carving Contest! Every year the Lake Havasu Dive Association holds just an event. The annual event is staged by Captain Kathy of the association and all you have to do is show up with your pumpkin and gear in hand. Armed with dive knives, tiny saws and a little imagination, diver's suit up and swim down 15-30ft to sculpt away. Judges rate divers on their artistic originality, as well as the degree of difficulty to carve the entry in the watery and buoyant environment. Best part is, there is no fee to participate!
