Survival Mode at Sea + Monster Fish Caught | Day 2-3

Day 2 & 3 of our sail from the United States to Colombia did not go to plan. What was meant to be a comfortable beam reach in 18–22 knots quickly turns into something very different. Instead of cruising south, we find ourselves stuck in gale-force winds, beating upwind for nearly two straight days with the boat heeled over and the crew running on almost no sleep. With Escapade pinned over at a 15° lean and waves on the nose, the miles come slowly and the reality of this offshore passage starts to set in. Fatigue kicks in, morale gets tested, and survival mode begins to take over. Somewhere in the middle of it all, the boys decide to try their luck at fishing again — and hook into a monster. Wahoo… or king mackerel? Either way, it’s a welcome boost during a tough stretch at sea. After pushing through the conditions, we finally make landfall in the Ragged Islands of the Bahamas, where we drop anchor, regroup, and wait for a better weather window before continuing the long passage south to Colombia.
