After our special Marquesan Christmas in the main village of Vaitahu, we continue sailing down Tahuata's coast to Hapatoni - a small but super picturesque village smelling of frangipani & coprah. We marvel at the originally hand-crafted Polynesian outriggers surrounded by steep lush green mountains covered with palm and dragon trees. Ilja jumps into the water to find spinner dolphins that live there. We return to Hiva Oa to finish our last preparations for our Pacific Crossing from West to East - a challenging job with prices exploding in the supermarket shelves and gendarmes that don't want to let out check out.
