Splicing Three Strand rope- Eye Splice, Back Splice and A Thimble

Eye splice, Back Splice (with crown) and a thimble finish. Three things we do on our boat every sailor should be able to do. This video is more about if you haven't already, grab some rope and practice. Its useful for making a tidy job of fender lines, spliced eyes for dock lines, preventing chafe where a spliced eye might be attached by shackle etc and just giving a decorative finish where desired. Please note I removed melting the ends from the video but it should be simple to figure out, or just leave them long.
