Technically, we’re priming — but this is the first coat of paint on all the new drywall, and it completely changes the way the inside of the house feels. The painters we were planning to use got delayed, so we decided to try doing the interior painting ourselves to save money and keep the build moving. With Desiree’s mom helping watch the girls, Desiree was finally able to spend a full day working on the house with me again. She took over the paint sprayer, I rolled behind her, and together we tried to get the whole interior primed while sweating through full-body paint suits in the middle of summer.
