Sailing Vessel Triteia - Sailing from Catalina Island on New Years Day with a Dolphin escort

| Season 2 | Episode 24 | On this episode Meital arrives from the mainland by way of the Catalina Express. We explore Two Harbors and ring in the New Year in old person fashion and push off to sail home on New Years day. We had the pleasure of sailing through a massive pod of dolphins that stretched as far as the eye could see and some played at our bow in classic dolphin style. I attempted a drone flight and lost my new DJI Phantom 3SE drone into the sea. A super bummer but I am glad it happened on the way home and not at the beginning of my trip. As the winds picked up we buried the rails and sailed all the way in, past the lighthouse and down the channel finally coming home to tie up after 9 days at sea and on the hook. I explored 7 different anchorages, 6 on the hook and 1 on a mooring. Sailed more than 200 nautical miles and had one of the most amazing weeks of my life. I visit six anchorages on Santa Cruz Island before sailing for Catalina Island and tying up in Isthmus Cove for New Years Eve. We sailed back on New Years Day enjoying sunshine, great wind and thousands of dolphins. While I was on my trip I started my first podcast and the first episode is up online now.
